Jessie Sams is a conlanger and artist. She received her Ph.D. in linguistics from the University of Colorado Boulder and was a professor at Stephen F. Austin State University for thirteen years, where she taught a course on language creation. She's created languages for TV shows such as Freeform's Motherland: Fort Salem, Peacock's Vampire Academy, and Netflix's Shadow and Bone, and films such as Pixar's Elemental. She's the co-host of the YouTube series LangTime Studio.
